Introducing Headds Up Equestrian!

Irish-based competition and sales yard, Headds Up Equestrian has recently expanded to new premises. Here’s what they have to say about their growing business:

Headds Up Equestrian is an established business which has relocated back to our home country of Ireland. We have been based in England for the last 5 years, but due to expansion we needed a larger base with a wider range of facilities. 

We recently made the long move back home and now have a new base in the heart of Ireland. We are situated in a small village called Clonaslee, 10 miles east of Tullamore town. We have great road networks making it easily accessible for clients to visit from overseas flying directly into Dublin airport. 

A little about us: Robbie, the original Headds Up man, has always had firm grounding in the equine industry spending many years in hunt service while being based in England. Robbie has always been an agent while based overseas. While growing up in Ireland Robbie, built long-standing relationships with clients far and wide, enabling him to source some of the very best Irish-bred horses. 

After many years in hunt service, he decided to take a step back and concentrate on a new venture back in Ireland, allowing him to spend more time producing horses with his partner Georgina. 

Georgina, originally from England, has again had a very strong grounding in the horse industry, spending many years on the road as a saddle fitter. Juggling work commitments alongside eventing her own horses had taken its toll, so Georgina and Robbie took the opportunity and made a jump into their new premises in Ireland. 

A little about our new premises: we feel incredibly lucky to call our new base home, suited on 50 acres, with 2 large outdoor arenas, a cross country course and a list off new facilities pending completion, we feel that our horses are produced in a way of confidence in all disciplines and will go on to fly a flag high for us us in their future homes and chosen disciplines. Georgina is the main rider on the yard and has a select few established event horses ranging from 4 year olds to more advanced horses – some of our own and others ridden on behalf of owners.

All of our sales horses would be put through a trial period which enables us to tick all of the boxes. We like to make sure we know our horses before being offered for sale. We all know horses are all unique – some more complex than others – with having the facilities to trial horses in the correct way we can best partner horse and rider going forward minimising miscommunication. 

We have a wide range of horses from unbroken jumping horses to all-rounders, hunt horses and event horses.

We are soon to be opening a wider door to new and existing clients, with work on the yard and facilities at home coming to completion, we can now concentrate on the job in hand.
